Allogeneic Bone Marrow Transplant is one of the procedures to extract bone marrow and stem cells from the donor’s body. The donor can be a relative or a matching non-related donor. The match to a bone marrow depends on HLA or Human Leukocyte Antigen compatibility. It is a type of protein which covers blood cells and defines a person’s tissue type which forms the bases of bone marrow. High compatibility makes the treatment more effective.
